Our original experience with VU was exceptional. We felt the refinance started out the same way, but kind of fell off. We were originally told our loan would close in 10 days, we finally closed with only days to spare.
Communication during the refinance was not as dynamic as before. We just felt "forgtte" once the process began, maybe we just fell through the cracks.

My husband, the Veteran, and me had the best experience with our Loan Officer, Jerry Landrey and his Loan Coordinator, Grace Walther!! They were both so professional and gave easy instructions on all forms needed, by giving us a checklist. They were great at answering any questions that we had. The whole process was a joy because these two were fantastic!!! I will definitely refer VU to other veterans!!! And I will recommend Jerry and Grace to them!!! I give them a grade of A++.


The loan team dropped the ball more than once. Communication was poor, I had to constantly chase people down for information and to get them to follow through. Very disappointing our second go around was so bad as our first one was great.

I’m a Marine vet, I’m 30 years old and a single full time father to a beautiful 6 year old girl. Aimee and the rest of the team at veterans United did a wonderful job with taking care of me.
